1. Who we are

ConnectUs Resources is a coaching and workforce development business operated by Evan Jordanov, based in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. In this policy, “we” and “us” means ConnectUs Resources.

We are the organisation responsible for the personal information described here. Because Yukon has no private-sector privacy statute of its own, our handling of personal information is governed federally by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Privacy contact: Evan Jordanov

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Name, email address, phone number, and the city or region you work in
  • Which program you told us you were interested in, and anything you wrote in a form field
  • Assessment responses, if you complete an Enneagram or strengths assessment through us
  • Notes taken during coaching sessions, and anything you send us by email or message
  • Billing details if you purchase — see section 6 on payment processing

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser and device type, operating system
  • Pages you visited, how you arrived, how long you stayed
  • Whether you opened an email from us and whether you clicked a link in it

We do not ask for, and do not want, information about your health, finances, criminal record, or anything else sensitive except where you volunteer it in the course of coaching. If you do volunteer it, it is treated as confidential coaching material under section 10.

3. Why we collect it

  • To answer you when you contact us or request a discovery call
  • To deliver a program you have signed up for, and to give you your assessment results
  • To process a payment and issue a receipt
  • To send you material you asked to receive, including waitlist and launch notices
  • To understand which pages and programs people actually use, so we build the right things
  • To meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations in Canada

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to a data broker. There is no version of this business where that happens.

4. Consent, and how to withdraw it

We collect and use your information with your consent. Filling in a form, booking a call, or buying a program is consent for the purpose you gave it for. Where we want to use it for something else, we will ask first.

You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing [email protected]. If withdrawing consent means we can no longer deliver a program you have paid for, we will tell you that clearly before acting on it, and we will not use it as a way to avoid a refund you are owed.

5. Marketing email (CASL)

Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation governs the commercial email we send. We send it only where you have given express consent — for example by ticking a box or joining a waitlist — or where we have an existing business relationship that CASL recognises.

Every commercial message we send identifies ConnectUs Resources, gives a way to reach us, and carries a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribes are actioned promptly and always within the ten business days CASL allows.

Transactional messages — a receipt, a calendar confirmation, your assessment results, or content inside a program you bought — are not marketing and will continue even if you unsubscribe from marketing.

6. Who we share it with

We use third-party service providers to run the business. They may process your information on our behalf, only for the purposes we specify, and under their own privacy commitments. The current list:

  • HighLevel Inc. (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector) — this website, our CRM, forms, calendar booking, and email delivery
  • Stripe — payment processing. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and are never stored by us. We see only the last four digits, the card brand, and whether the payment succeeded
  • Skool — community and course hosting for enrolled participants
  • Google — website analytics and, where used, font delivery
  • Meta — advertising measurement, where a pixel is active on this site
  • Zapier — automation moving your information between the tools above

Outside those providers, we disclose personal information only where the law requires it — a court order, a valid legal demand, or an investigation we are obliged to assist with — or where disclosure is needed to prevent serious and imminent harm to someone.

If ConnectUs Resources is ever sold or merged, your information may transfer to the buyer as part of that business. You will be notified before that happens.

7. Storage outside Canada

Several of the providers listed above store and process data on servers in the United States. That means your personal information may be held outside Canada, and while it is there it can be accessible to foreign courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities under the laws of that country.

We are telling you this because PIPEDA requires that you know it before you hand over your information. If that is not acceptable to you, contact us by email or phone instead of using the forms on this site, and we will work with you.

8. Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for three things: keeping the site working, remembering you between visits, and measuring which pages get used. Some are set by us and some by the providers in section 6.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones may break parts of the site, including forms and checkout. Blocking the analytics and advertising ones will not.

We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is still no agreed standard for what a website should do when it receives one.

9. Affiliate links and disclosure

Some links on this site — particularly on the reading list — are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

ConnectUs Resources is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. We also hold affiliate arrangements with other product companies from time to time, and disclose them where the link appears.

Affiliate links pass information to the destination retailer, including the fact that you arrived from this site. What the retailer does with that is governed by their privacy policy, not ours.

Nothing is recommended here because it pays a commission. If a recommendation would change based on the commission, it does not go on the site.

10. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that go nowhere — deleted within 24 months of last contact
  • Marketing list members — kept until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record only, so we do not accidentally email you again
  • Coaching clients — session notes and assessment results kept for the engagement and for 7 years after, then deleted
  • Financial records — kept 7 years, as the Canada Revenue Agency requires

Coaching notes are confidential. They are not shared with your employer, your family, or anyone else, and they are not used as marketing material. If you were referred by an employer, they receive confirmation of attendance and nothing about content, unless you tell us in writing that they may receive more.

11. Your rights

Under PIPEDA you can:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and how we have used it
  • Get a copy of it
  • Have anything inaccurate corrected
  • Withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual limits
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need

Email [email protected]. We will confirm receipt and respond within 30 days. There is no charge. We may need to verify who you are before releasing anything, which protects you rather than us. If we have to refuse part of a request, we will tell you which part and why.

12. Security

Access to your information is limited to Evan Jordanov and to the service providers in section 6. Accounts are protected with strong, unique passwords and multi-factor authentication where the platform supports it. Payment card data never touches our systems.

No system is perfectly secure and we are not going to claim otherwise. If a breach occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and notify you directly, as PIPEDA requires.

13. Young people

This site and these programs are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through this website. If you believe a minor has given us information here, email us and we will delete it.

Where ConnectUs delivers programming to people under 18 through a school, band council, or similar organisation, that runs under a separate written agreement with consent handled through the organisation and, where required, a parent or guardian. This policy does not cover it.

14. Other sites

This site links out to other websites, including social platforms, retailers, and booking tools. Once you leave, you are on their terms and their privacy policy. We are not responsible for how they handle your information, and we would encourage you to read theirs before handing anything over.

15. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when what we do changes. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version. Where a change materially affects how your information is used, we will notify anyone on our list directly rather than quietly editing the page.

16. Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first — [email protected]. We would rather fix it than have you go around us, and we will take it seriously.

If we do not resolve it, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.

17. Additional notices

Coaching is not therapy or medical care

ConnectUs programs are coaching and personal development. They are not psychotherapy, counselling, medical treatment, nutritional prescription, or financial advice, and Evan Jordanov does not hold himself out as a licensed clinician. Nothing on this site or in a program replaces care from a doctor, a registered therapist, or a licensed professional. If you are in crisis, or if something at home frightens you or frightens someone else, contact a professional or emergency services rather than a coaching program.

Results

Where a guarantee is offered on a program page, the terms stated on that page apply. Outside of an explicit written guarantee, nothing on this site is a promise of any particular income, promotion, or outcome. What you get out depends on what you put in, and we would be lying if we told you otherwise.

Terms of use

Until separate terms are published, this policy also serves as the notice referenced by consent checkboxes on our forms.
