I've read a lot and I'm never going to stop reading, learning, and growing. This book, which is actually 66 books in one, has influenced my life at every age and stage. It covers history, philosophy, relationships, mental, emotional, spiritual health, romance, wisdom, and so much more. Chances are that you've already guess what it is. It's the Bible!
For the skeptics, I get it. I was a skeptic once too. Not because I didn't grow up in a Christian home (I did), but because I genuinely think that for faith to be genuine it has to be questioned and challenged. We all need to come to a gap between what we know, see, hear, smell, touch and what's on the "other side". It's a journey. There's not a day where I don't have questions that seem to go unanswered, though some have said the non answer is an answer.
What I do know, is that I have legitimate relationship with a living God - One who is concerned about every hair on my head and every tear I cry. I've had too many experiences across my life and in my family that it would be impossible for me to deny that something/someone beyond what I can physically process is present with me to this human experience. For myself, I've found that most of questions I dwell on do seem to have answers that fit within the context of the Bible. So I'd encourage you, whether you have before or not, to give Jesus a try. Find yourself a community of faith, whether that's in the 4 walls of a church or surrounded by the wilderness with some friends, and ask God your toughest questions. Expect an answer and don't be surprised when you get one back!
I've attached some good starter Bibles below if you need a new one.
Bless you on your journey of faith!
